Match Report: 6th Jan 2008, Against Jon Ang's Team

Final Score 1-1
Line-up: Jiahui, Weiyi, Chingweng, Kelvin Chua, Bahrin, Songkoy, Bernard, Yiyang, Henry, Hua Kun, Kevin, Ken, Timothy

A game we definitely didnt deserve to lose, but one that we threw away by not converting the chances we created. A lack of finishing was evident as our regular No.9 Kelvin Kuek was unavailabe for this game; instead Ken and Kevin Yap took turns to become our makeshift strikers. Positive feelings all around the team though, as we are certainly beginning to improve playing as a team.

Game started off pretty uneventful for both teams until a one-on-one miss by Team Prodigy when the opponent keeper pull off a brilliant save. The opponent then scored a nice goal through Jonathan Ang after some unfortunate deflection off our defenders. Team Prodigy then came out and were on fire though in the second half, playing attacking and flowing football that left the opponent chasing shadows. We finally converted one of the many chances we created through a deflection again off Yiyang (feeling was just great) from a corner by Bernard. We ended the match somewhat dissapointingly though but take no credit away from today's performance. Not a perfect performance, but everyone seemed fitter and quicker, and we are starting to play more as a team. Some brilliant individual performances (in my humble opinion) too by our central defenders and our new goalkeeper :) Lets look forward to the challange of Team H next week.

Is that Chingweng? Pleasant looking school in the backdrop

Posing for Man of the Match Award? Nice boots.
