Chua Concedes Title

Like Wenger, Chua re-focuses his team's efforts.

Although pundits have written off the title chances of Team Prodigy eons ago, Manager Chua had always refused to dismiss his team's chances. However, even the staunchest believer of Team Prodigy's quality would have to concede the team's title hopes after the 1-0 defeat by Legends over the weekend. Chua finally admits:

"The title is beyond us now. We have to re-gather ourselves and focus on achieving 2nd or 3rd. The next few matches will be telling."

When asked about Team Prodigy's inability to capture the title, Chua said:

"I feel the difference between success and failure is very little. We do not feel there is much between ourselves, Legends and KNV6 when it comes to technical ability and quality. So it is difficult to accept we will not win the title."

"I want to win trophies and it is sad we cannot win a trophy this season. On the other hand I feel we have done a lot for the ESPZEN Division 9 this season by the way that we have promoted it. Our passion, spirit and camaraderie, coupled with our competitive style of play, I think makes a very good opponent for other teams. We will continue to play the way we do, but better. Then the trophies will come."

"At the moment our confidence has dropped a little bit. When you get knock after knock it is difficult to take. However I cannot fault the team spirit - it has been exceptional. This is why I have every confidence that Team Prodigy will emerge stronger from this - our team spirit will see us through. Picking ourselves up is in our blood and we will appear on the pitch next Sunday with renewed vigour and fight. It is time to concentrate on a new goal - taking 2nd or 3rd place. This mission will start from our very next match onwards, with our game against One-Touchables."
