After a thrilling first season, fans and players alike look forward to the next season, set to kick off to July 08. Transfer rumours flood the sports headlines, especially with Team Prodigy refusing to publicly state her intentions with regards to squad improvement. Internal sources have been conflicting. The Straits Times are tipping Chua to bag a couple of important signings for the new season while the Newpaper claims that Team Prodigy will see no new signings, with the intention of retaining first team places for her veterans.
Team manager Chua has however strongly indicated his intentions for the future: "Players will leave, no doubt about that. We have players who will leave due to external commitments and others will hang up their boots in retirement. I think we will have to consider these very carefully before deciding our plans for the future. Hopefully, we will be playing in a better division next season. If that materializes, then we had better be well prepared".
Team Prodigy will face an uphill task however, with its limited funds available. Getting the signature of top players like Gareth Barry, Thierry Henry and Karim Benzema, will be difficult, considering the S$50 - 75 million Team Prodigy will have to offer to compete with big European clubs for these players.

Benzema has however shown interest in playing in Espzen under Team Prodigy: "The league is great. The team is great. I think they play nice football, good football. Playing with world class players like Tan, Poh and Low is a like a dream to me. But I have a contract and my club will decide. But yes, I would like to play in Singapore sometime in my career, maybe soon, maybe not so soon."
