Band of brothers?!Hi All,
Since its the end-of-season, just wanted to thank everyone for a great season we had in Division 7. We had a great run, regardless of our defeat to Simei Utd in the last match. I'm sure everyone agrees that we lost to a better team and they deserve to be Champions of Div 7, although I feel a bit cheated when they told us that they are not taking part next season (then they should have let us win right!).
But anyway I think overall throughout the whole season, we did really well and we all deserve a pat on the back for everyone's contribution one way or another (including the WAGs for the support and the photographs).
I honestly am looking forward to the start of the next season, because I think we got a great thing going on here with our team and our current players. Everyone seems to get along really well with everyone else and we dont scold or complain (much) if anyone makes mistakes or we lose a game - that is really hard to come by these days. Whichever new players joins our team next season, I hope that this comaraderie doesn't change.
On a more immediate note, has anyone found opponents for a friendly this coming Sunday yet? If not, I propose we book an astro-pitch, either 5-a-side or 7-a-side and we can just have a nice friendly kick around. I think it would be awesome to play AGAINST each other for once and to test out how good we really are. Haha. I know turf city has some pretty good 7-a-side astros which is quite fun! I tried before. But we have to book early because its really popular.
