TEAM Prodigy will kickoff their season opener this Sun against Cairnhill FC at Cantoment Pitch. Months of preparation, sweat and bonding will all be put to the test come 27/01/08 9.15am sharp when the whistle blows.

FORGET about the wet and muddy match versus the ex-commandos, forget about the 5 sloppy goals conceded against the red veterans and forget about the high of beating Team H. All these are history and what matters most is the result and a good performance on Sunday. Everyone starts from zero on Sunday and everyone has a chance to write themselves into the history book of Prodigy and become a hero. We have come a long long way and this is the chance for many of us who have always dreamed of playing in a competitive albeit amateur league to fulfill some of our boyhood dreams.

REMEMBER how you used to celebrate a goal when you scored against your friends under the HDB block? Or how you wished you could emulate your favourite EPL player on the pitch? The moment has arrived and although we might not be at full strength come Sunday, we certainly are still a bunch of football romantics and let us all play our hearts out for OUR team just as passionately as when we were young during the good old times.
