Leftback Deng Weiyi is said to be unhappy at his lack of chances in the team after being interviewed by Football Crazy correspondent Jamie Yeo. He revealed to Jamie that Chua's public support for midfielder Ken Goh despite his lacklustre performances in the last two games shows that the manager does not rate him as a player and this causes him to feel unwanted in the team.
A visibly emotional Deng told Football Crazy: " I have been ever-present in the team and have never missed a training session; I am with this club for many years already and I love the club and the fans, however it seems that I will always remind a bit-part player with the manager."
"All I need is a chance to play and now with Ching Weng injured, the manager publicly said that he will put Ken as fullback. I am really dissappointed and I shall see where my future holds after this season ends. "
This certainly does not help Deng's cause after his public outburst at the manager and it remains to be seen whether Chua will tolerate such behaviour given that the last thing the team needs now is unrest in the dressing room with the ever increasing pressure to deliver exerted by the Board and fans.
